10:00 am Monarch and Friends Pollinator Fiesta

We will celebrate the last days of the BioBlitz and the migration of the Monarchs with a fun and informative afternoon full of activities, speakers and a photo contest. The amazing Monarch butterfly and our essential pollinators will be showcased at this event by some of the leading organizations for family fun and outdoor adventures. Come learn more about these amazing creatures and how you can help them thrive. Some of the participating organizations are The San Antonio Zoo, NPS- Historical Missions SA, Cibolo Nature Center, Witte Museum, TX AM Agrilife Extension and The Heritage Museum of the Texas Hill Country.  Volunteers needed. BioBlitz Photo Contest: Submit your best GRSP/HCSNA BioBlitz digital photos Oct 4-17 to Thea Platz for a chance to win a private tour for up to 10 people with a Park Ranger and a photographer to the invitation only Honey Creek State Natural area or the Bauer Unit.
