Guadalupe River Day Use Area on a sunny December afternoon

South Section of the Park

The south side of the Guadalupe River is the most frequented area of the Park for the vast majority of visitors.  The Day Use Area along the River offers gravelly beaches, picnic tables, restrooms, and a canoe landing.  Away from the River, on the uplands, there are camping sites, several miles of biking and hiking trails, the Discovery Center, and a bird-watching blind near the Discovery Center.  For galleries of Park trails, click here.
