The Painted Bunting Trail with its two loops north and south of Park Road 31 is the longest in the Park.  The AllTrails tracking map below (third image on top row) is for roundtrip on one leg of the southern loop, so cut the stated figures in half for one way.    

The images below were taken on February 23, 2019, about a month after a prescribed burn on January 21, 2019.  Note the grasses already returning, and also the re-sprouting of Poverty weed.  Hike the trail later in the spring or summer of 2019 and see the differences.  Or come back in 2020.
