First Day Honey Creek Nature Hikes

Experience the natural and cultural history of Honey Creek on our First Day Hikes!
Start 2024 off outdoors! Join us for a guided hike to the beautiful Honey Creek to learn about the area’s natural and cultural history. This event is sponsored by the Friends of Guadalupe River State Park/Honey Creek State Natural Area. The trail is 2.5 miles long and moderate in difficulty. Much of it is flat, but there are some rocky areas, slopes, and a steep but short hill. Participants will receive a First Day Hike sticker upon completion!
Registration is required for this event and will become available in December 2023. Please check back for registration links.
All ages are welcome! No dogs, please.
Meet: Rust House at Honey Creek State Natural Area (inside the park)
When: There will be three guided hikes offered beginning at 9 am, 10 am, and 1 pm
Bring: Drinking water, sun protection, and sturdy shoes; dress for the weather
Cost: Free with park admission; Adults: $7; Children 12 & under: Free
Day-use reservations are highly recommended to ensure your entrance to the park.
