Homeschool Class: What’s That, Habitat? *Registration Required*
September 15, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Experience Guadalupe River State Park as an outdoor classroom in this program for school-age kids!
Guadalupe River State Park’s homeschool program is a set of outdoor classes for homeschool kiddos grades 1-5. Classes are usually held on the second full week of the month (September through April), and you can choose between Thursday at 9am or Friday at 9am. Please note that September will only have one offering on 09/15. We will cover a different topic every month, so don’t miss out!
September’s topic is animals and their habitat! Following, “What’s That, Habitat?”, students will learn about what comprises an animal’s habitat and what they need in order to survive!
Registration: Program is limited to 25 students. To register, email Ranger Jessica at jessica.bergner@tpwd.texas.gov.
Please register only if you are sure your child can attend. If your plans change, email to cancel so that another child can have that spot.
Prepare: Dress for the weather and bring water.
Meet: Meet at the amphitheater behind the Discovery Center.
Fees: None. Entry fees will be waived under an educational waiver for the student and their parent or guardian.
If ADA assistance is required, please inform park headquarters (830) 438-2656 ahead of time.
**Park programs are subject to change/cancellation in the event of inclement weather**
