Snakes Alive!

July 20 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Join special guest Ranger Jamie (from Inks Lake State Park) to learn about our native snakes and their important roles in our park.

One of the first questions you might be asking when you go into nature is…. are there snakes?! Well, the answer is yes, there are snakes everywhere in Texas, but if you come to this program you’ll learn about a few of the snakes you could possibly see here in our neck of the woods in Central Texas. Additionally, you’ll learn why they’re important in the ecosystem and our undervalued friendssssss!

Note: There will be live, non-venomous snakes on display as part of the program, carefully handled by Ranger Jamie.

Meet: Amphitheater behind the Discovery Center
Bring: Your family, drinking water, sun protection and curiosity about snakes!
Cost: Free with park admission; Adults: $7, Children 12 & under: Free

If ADA assistance is required, please request modifications using this form, or email accessibility@tpwd.texas.gov at least 2 weeks in advance.
