Join us for a paws-itively delightful adventure at the Bauer Unit!
Our guided dog walk (~2 miles) has us wagging with excitement to explore the wonders of nature with your furry friends! From sniffing out hidden treasures to unraveling the secrets of the trails, every step is a tail-wagging experience waiting to happen! Don’t miss out on this tail-tastic opportunity to bond with your pup while discovering the beauty of the Bauer Unit.

Note: there is a limit of 10 dogs on this guided walk; all friendly dogs are welcome and must remain on a 6-foot or shorter leash at all times
Meet: Bauer Unit parking lot at 8:45am; walk will begin promptly at 9:00am
Wear: outdoor attire and sturdy hiking shoes; dress for the weather
Bring: Water (for you and your pooch), doggy bags and sun protection
Additional information: there are no restroom facilities or water fountains at the Bauer Unit; help us leave no trace by packing out what you pack in
Cost: Free with park admission; Adults: $7, Children 12 & under: Free
There is no ranger station at the Bauer Unit so exact cash or a park pass can be used at the self-pay station. Reservations can also be made at texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com
Bauer Unit Directions (from the park): Turn right onto Hwy. 46 from Park Road 31. Go 3 miles and turn right on FM 3351. Go approx. 3.5 miles and turn right on Edge Falls Rd. Continue for 2.4 miles and turn right on Acker Road. Go 2.2 miles to entrance.
