“Big Sit!” at the Woodland Blind

How many birds can YOU spot from within a 50-foot circle? Join us and find out!
What: A “Big Sit!”, often called a tailgate party for birders, is a stationary birdwatching event where a group sees how many different species of birds they can spot from within a 50-foot circle. Join our Great Texas Birding Classic team, Guad Squad, and count birds along with us! If you would like to officially join the team, please email Ranger Jessica as registration and a $30 fee are required.
Who: You and your family! All ages and skill levels are welcome. Please leave your furry friends/family members (dogs) at home.
Where: Woodland Blind
When: 9:00 am- 12:00 pm. Drop in for a few minutes or stay for a while!
Why: Birdwatching is a great outdoor activity that everyone can enjoy!
What to bring: Binoculars if you have them; we will also have binoculars available for use.
Cost: Free with park admission; Adults: $7, Children 12 & under: Free
