10:00 am S3DA State Archery Tournament
May 22, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 3:30 pm
Join as a spectator while youth archers affiliated with our partners from S3DA compete in an archery tournament at Guadalupe River State Park. In addition to observing the competition, National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP®) shooters will have a chance to compete and win prizes! Spectators will also be provided an opportunity to receive instruction and shoot entry level bows and arrows at stationary and moving targets.
Join the event as a spectator and explore Archery as your newest hobby. Support S3DA’s youth in their effort to win prizes! Pre-registered youth and young adults will be competing in an archery course consisting of thirty 3-D animal targets set in a wooded space along the designated trails in the park.
On-site activities for spectators will include an introduction to archery utilizing entry level equipment and receiving information on how to continue the hobby.
Meet us at the prairie trailhead for entrance to the course and hands on activities. Please note, the Prairie Trail and Oak Savanah loop will be closed to traditional hiking.
NASP® shooters will be allowed to compete and win a prize of a mentored hunt in a “Genesis Bow Class” of shooters! For a $15 registration fee, collected on site, users will be able to compete using traditional NASP® equipment.. Whether yours is brought from home or borrowed on-site, we look forward to seeing you shoot!
