DESCRIPTION:Join us to learn the about the cultural and natural history of Honey Creek. \nJoin us for a guided walk to the beautiful Honey Creek to learn about both the natural and cultural history of the area. This 2.5-hour hike begins at the Rust House inside the park. This hike is free beyond the park admission of $7 per person 13 and over (free with a current TPWD Park Pass) and a requested donation of $2 per person to the Friends Group. If it is raining call the park at 830.438.3085 for hike status. Cameras are welcome\, binoculars encouraged. \nPlease Note: We advise everyone to wear long pants and close-toed shoes to deal with rocky trails and tall vegetation. \nPlease Note: No pets are allowed in Honey Creek SNA\, including on the hike. \nPlease Note: Be sure to bring water and a hat for this two-plus mile hike.

DESCRIPTION:Rust house needs assessment: \nWe will assess the maintenance needs of the house from roof to foundation\, inside and out and subsequently determine costs\, timeline and who will do what. \nWe will clean the area around the house removing old unused composting bins\, plant exclosures\, rocks etc. \nThe park will provide trucks to remove and get rid of or relocate items. \nDepending on how many people show-up\, it should not take more than a few hours. Bring a lunch.

This 2.5-hour hike begins at the Rust House inside the park. This hike is free beyond the park admission of $7 per person 13 and over (free with a current TPWD Park Pass) and a requested donation of $2 per person to the Friends Group. If it is raining call the park at 830.438.3085 for hike status. Cameras are welcome\, binoculars encouraged. \nPlease Note: We advise everyone to wear long pants and close-toed shoes to deal with rocky trails and tall vegetation. \nPlease Note: No pets are allowed in Honey Creek SNA\, including on the hike. \nPlease Note: Be sure to bring water and a hat for this two-plus mile hike.
