DESCRIPTION:Experience Honey Creek State Natural Area as an outdoor classroom in this program for school-age kids! \nHoney Creek State Natural Area’s homeschool program is a set of outdoor classes for homeschool kiddos grades K-5. Classes are usually held on the second full week of the month (September through May–excluding January)\, and you can choose between Wednesday at 10am\, Thursday at 10am or Friday at 10am. We will cover a different topic every month\, so don’t miss out! \nTopics:\nSeptember- Tracks and Traces: Reading the Land Like a Naturalist\nOctober- Wings Across the World: Discovering Migratory Birds\nNovember- Fire on the Land: The Role of Fire in the Hill Country\nDecember- Nocturnal Nature: Creatures of the Night \nRegistration: Program is limited to 25 students. Registration will open up on August 15\, 2025 at 9am.\nPlease register only if you are sure your child can attend.
